Keeping you safe
The main entrance doors are generally kept locked and owners have keys to these but visitors will need to contact the Duty Manager for admittance by pressing the button in the foyer. The Duty Manager will ensure that all doors are locked at dusk each evening, but owners are asked to ensure that their own apartments are secure every time they go out. There is a Home Watch scheme in operation.
There is a burglar alarm for the communal block which is in operation between 10.30pm and 7.00am. Owners are asked not to use the main entrance door after 10.30pm but rather the rear door opposite apartment eight.
If owners are suspicious about anything, they should contact the Duty Manager by pulling the alarm cord in their apartment. If owners are going away on holiday, even for just an overnight stay, they should let the Duty Manager know for security reasons.
Staff Cover
The premises are never left unattended. There is a Duty Manager on call day and night. Between 10.30pm & 7.30am, the Duty Manager can be called in case of emergency only.
Door Chains & Locks
Under the terms of the lease, only door security chains which can be unlocked by the Duty Manager with a master key, may be fitted to an owner's property as otherwise this would prevent access by the emergency services and staff in case of an emergency. Information about the authorised door chains can be obtained from the Manager, who can arrange fitting. For the same reason, owners may not fit supplementary locks to their front doors.
Keys
Each owner's front door key will open all outside doors (duplicates can be obtained through the office). The mortise key opens the French Windows.
Car Parking
Free car parking is provided. To prevent unauthorised parking, a barrier system has been installed at the entrance and exit of the Court. The entrance barrier rises automatically on approach. To exit, a key is issued to all owners, or else free tokens are available from the Duty Manager
